Trapiche Old Mine Cut Diamond Solitaire
A timeless elegant piece bursting with character. Where to begin.
This stunning Old Mine Cut Diamond takes centre stage, with its large open facets and elongated crown demanding attention. At the centre of the diamond, the crystallised carbon speckles form what can only be described as a hummingbird in flight. Throughout the diamond, smoky wisps of grey with golden highlights form a distinct pattern known as 'Trapiche' a six-rayed radial structure that happens during the crystal's formation. While this diamond has an antique style cut, it is a modern stone with the benefit of precision cutting as well as being fully traceable to the mine. Completely carved by hand, this piece looks classic from afar, yet has incredible one of a kind detail the more closely you look.
