Blue Nonagon Sapphire Ring
This remarkable stone has been cut into an irregular nonagon which echoes the truly lovely patterning in the stone.
Sapphires are a type of the mineral corundum which is clear when it contains no traces of other minerals. As this Sapphire grew, you can look into the gem and actually see how the amount of titanium in the area varied over time, creating the blue geometric colour zoning in the stone.
We created contrast in the ring by using flowing dripped texture in the band and five prongs that are finished with dotted, geometric talon claws, bringing the piece together perfectly.
Each piece is carved by hand here in studio, making for singular and unique pieces.
Cast using the ancient “lost wax" method, our pieces are entirely handmade and produced in England.
