Rosecut Oval Sapphire + Diamond Ring

The sparkling facets of this sapphire throw around shades of blue, green, teal, and yellow to create different colours at each angle. Encircled by flowing gold and accented a scattering of four champagne diamonds.

Rose cutting creates a very wearable gem, as it involves faceting little polished triangles across the surface of the sapphire with the back polished flat so the ring has a low profile. This technique was also historically popular as rose cut gems are very sparkly even in low light!

Sapphire is unheated and untreated from Central Queensland, Australia.

Each piece is carved by hand here in studio, making for singular and unique pieces.
Cast using the ancient “lost wax" method, our pieces are entirely handmade and produced in England.
